ABOUT DEPARTMENT :
The Dept. of Computer Science was established in the year 1992. In 1995,the department initiated M.Sc., Computer Science and in 1996 M.C.A. was introduced .We are offering courses which fulfill the requirement of the high academic standards and meet the demand of the present IT industry as well. The department strives to Nurture effective capabilities for the development of high quality technical and scientific manpower to meet the challenges of the knowledge era.
Industrial visits to leading IT organizations are arranged by the Dept. at periodic intervals. This enables the students to bridge the gap between theory and practice. The Dept. helps Non – Teaching Staff and office staff by conducting various training programs to enhance their knowledge on ICT.
The Dept. is actively involve in conducting interviews and arranging career counseling in the I.T. field. Conducted Campus drives by reputed companies like Wipro, Sun Net work solutions, TCS, Tech Mahindra and Infosys etc., . The teaching staff are actively involved in Research and Development activities in the emerging areas of Computer Science & Engineering. Faculty members of the Department of Computer Science are highly qualified, educated from reputed institutes, dedicated and dynamic. Currently research is being carried out in the areas of Data Mining.

The Department has well equipped laboratories with 275 systems with latest configuration..Faculty uses modern teaching aids like L.C.D Projector, Over head projector , Visualiser and Smart Board etc.
